
April 07, (THEWILL) — The Nigerian equities market resumed trading on Tuesday on a positive note following the public holiday, as investors pushed key indicators higher despite mixed sentiment across stocks.
At the close of trading, the market capitalisation advanced from ₦129.806 trillion at the opening of the session to ₦130.014 trillion. Similarly, the All-Share Index (ASI) rose from 201,698.89 points to close at 202,023.10 points.
Market breadth remained negative as the session recorded 24 gainers against 37 losers, reflecting selective buying interest across the market.

The positive close signals sustained investor interest in selected counters as the market begins a new trading week, with analysts expecting continued cautious positioning as investors digest macroeconomic signals and corporate earnings expectations.
