SAN FRANCISCO, June 08, (THEWILL) – Rampaging militant group, Niger Delta Avengers on Wednesday morning said it has blown up a Chevron-operated Crude Oil Well Head RMP 20, located 20 meters away from Dibi flow Stattion in Warri North LGA of Delta state.
This is contrary to speculations that members of NDA were already in negotiations with the Federal Government to ceasefire on attacks on oil installations.
Some media platforms in Nigeria (Not THEWILL) had reported that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state had allegedly secured a ceasefire deal from the Avengers through his deputy, Kingsley Otuaro to enable the federal government committee go into a roundtable negotiation with the militant group.
But NDA however denied any talk with the Federal Government, warning that if the government is into any discussion with any group, it is doing so at Federal Government’s own peril.
Confirming the latest attack through its Twitter handle; @NDAvengers, NDA tweeted at 6:59 Wednesday morning; “At 1:00am today, the @NDAvengers blow up Well RMP 20 belonging to Chevron located 20 meters away from Dibi flow Stattion in Warri North LGA.
It also said; “This is to the Gen. public we’re not negotiating with any Committee. if Fed Govt is discussing wth any group they’re doing that on their own”.
