SAN FRANCISCO, April 29, (THEWILL) – Nigeria Wednesday added 196 new cases of the coronavirus, the highest single-day record till date and also recorded 7 fresh deaths, another daily record.
Again, Lagos the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria contributed 87 of the new cases, but the virus appears to be spreading lately in northern Nigeria with Kano reporting 24 new cases, Gombe 18, Kaduna 17, FCT 16, Katisna 10 and Sokoto 8, according to data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
The total tally for Nigeria now stands at 1728 with 307 recoveries and 51 deaths.
