BEVERLY HILLS, October 13, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s total coronavirus cases has risen by 225 new cases to bring the total count till date to 60, 655 according to data released on Tuesday by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC. The new infections were recorded across 11 States.
The Nigerian infectious disease agency also put total recoveries at 52, 006 with total fatalities climbing to 1,116.
THEWILL notes that if the significant rise in new cases continues then Nigeria may well be on the path of a second wave.
Lagos State, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country led the new cases on Tuesday with 165 with the FCT posting 17 and Rivers adding 13. See below for a full breakdown.
The NCDC says it has tested 558, 313 samples as at October 12, 2020.
