
BEVERLY HILLS, August 22, (THEWILL) – The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria will most likely top 52, 000 before midnight Sunday, after Saturday’s new numbers of 601, spiked the total infections in the country on record to 51, 905.
The total recoveries according to the data released by the Nigeria Center for disease Control, NCDC, stands at 38, 767, while 1 new death was recorded to bring that tally to 997.
The NCDC data also showed Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, with 404 new cases, while the FCT recorded 37 cases. Oyo posted 19, Ondo 14 and Abia 13. See below for a full breakdown.
The NCDC also said it has so far tested 374, 077 samples as at August 21, 2020.
