June 16, (THEWILL) – The fastest-growing carrier in West Africa, Air Peace, has denied receiving any official summons from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
FCCPC is the Nigerian apex consumer protection agency in the country.
Air Peace’s rebuttal is coming on the backdrop of media reports at the weekend regarding purported summons by the Commission and directing Air Peace to appear at its headquarters in Abuja.
In a statement released by the airline on Monday, Air Peace noted that it had only become aware of the alleged summons through media reports.
The company emphasised its commitment to international best practices in aviation, particularly in handling refunds, and affirmed that it follows due process in all such matters.
“As a law-abiding organisation with utmost respect for regulatory bodies and government agencies, we wish to assure the public that if and when any official communication or summons is received, Air Peace will, as always, respond accordingly and provide necessary clarifications,” the airline stated.
The airline equally reaffirmed its dedication to serving its passengers with integrity and upholding industry standards.
