April 12, (THEWILL) – The National Population Commission (NPC) has postponed the Local Government-level training for Supervisors and Enumerators earlier slated for Thursday, April 13.
A statement signed on Wednesday, by the Director, Public Affairs at the Commission, Isiaka Yahaya, said the development was informed by “some emerging issues”, adding that a “new date will be communicated to the public”.
The National Population and Housing Census has been scheduled to hold from May 3 to May 7.
The statement read: “The Commission wishes to inform the general public that the LGA-level training of Supervisors and Enumerators scheduled to commence tomorrow, 13 April, 2023 has been postponed due to some emerging issues.
“The new date will be communicated to the public in due course.
“We assure Nigerians that the Commission remains committed to conducting a credible and acceptable 2023 Population and Housing Census and that all preparations are in top gear.
“Consequently, we advise the public to disregard any message contrary to this information.
“We regret any inconvenience this postponement may have caused the functionaries.”
