
March 30, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), has released the manifest of passengers, who boarded the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train.
THEWILL recalls that on Monday night, some gunmen suspected to be terrorists, bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train between Katari and Rigina axis, leaving at least 8 passengers confirmed dead in the attack.
While 26 have also been confirmed injured, an unspecified number passengers are believed to be abducted by the terrorists.
Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, disclosed that the State Government received from the NRC, the detailed passenger manifest for the ill-fated train.
According to the documents received, 398 passengers bought tickets for the trip, but 362 were validated as having boarded the train through the recognised turnstile.
The names of the 398 including the 362 validated have now been released.
