May 08, (THEWILL) — The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced that its tax offices nationwide will begin operating on Saturdays to assist taxpayers using its newly introduced digital tax platform, Rev360, ahead of the June peak filing season.
The decision was disclosed in a statement signed by the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Dr Zacch Adedeji, and published on the agency’s official X handle on Thursday.
According to the statement, all Emerging, Medium, Large, and Government Business Offices across the country will open on Saturdays from May 8 to June 27, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The NRS explained that the extended service hours are aimed at helping taxpayers navigate the Rev360 Phase I Tax Administration System and ensure smooth compliance during the Companies Income Tax filing period.
“This initiative is part of the commitment of the Service to provide additional taxpayer support and service delivery as the rollout of Rev360 Phase I Tax Administration System commences for Medium and Emerging Taxpayer segments”, the agency stated.
The move comes shortly after the official launch of Rev360 on April 30 as part of the NRS’s transition to what it describes as “Tax Administration 3.0”.
The platform is expected to deliver a more integrated, transparent, and efficient tax administration process while improving taxpayer experience and compliance levels.
The tax authority encouraged taxpayers to take advantage of the additional weekend hours to resolve pending tax matters, seek guidance on the new platform, and obtain clarification on compliance procedures.
The NRS reiterated its commitment to efficient and taxpayer-focused service delivery, noting that the expanded operations are expected to ease pressure during the peak filing period.
The agency is targeting ₦40.7 trillion in revenue for 2026, representing a 44 percent increase from the ₦28.29 trillion generated in 2025, as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to boost non-oil revenue and strengthen tax compliance.
