March 16, (THEWILL) – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has warned Corps members against engaging in unwholesome practices.

The warning followed a viral video of some male and female corps members, dancing in an erotic manner at an unidentified orientation camp.

In the video, one female corper was seen giving a lap dance to a male counterpart, while the male corper was also seen hitting his organ against the female’s own, with a corper heard saying, “give am well.“

Reacting to the viral video, the NYSC in a statement issued by its Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations, Emeka Mgbemena, described the video as pushing “beyond the boundary of decency”, adding that the scheme will never “condone such irresponsible behaviour.”

In the statement dated March 16, the NYSC said the corps members, if found culpable, will be “treated in accordance with the bye-laws of the Scheme.”

The statement reads: “The attention of NYSC Management has been drawn to a video currently trending on social media,” it said.

“(It is) showing corps members supposedly in NYSC orientation camp in very compromising actions that pushed beyond the boundary of decency.

“The management hereby restates that the scheme is founded on discipline, patriotism, and youth-reorientation and will never condone such irresponsible behaviour.

“Investigation is currently ongoing, and anyone found culpable, will be treated in accordance with the bye-laws of the Scheme.”
