August 07, (THEWILL) – The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II has welcomed a set of quadruplets from his fifth wife, Queen (Oloi) Aisosa Ewuare II, into the royal family.
The new arrivals are three males and one female.
Queen (Oloi) Aisosa Ewuare II is the fifth and youngest among the wives of the Benin king.
The monarch made this known on Friday when he received the leadership of Immaculate Conception College (ICC) old students.
Edo land reverberated with shouts of joy as jubilant visitors came hailing the monarch within the palace and its grounds.
“Oba ghato kpere!”
“Ise!”
“Long live the king!”
“Amen!”
Ewuare II thanked God and his ancestors for the blessing.
Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri, the Priest of Holy Aruosa Church offered prayers for the babies.
The birth of the quadruplets is being celebrated at the palace and Benin people home and abroad.
THEWILL recall that Oba Ewuare II, had welcomed his first infant prince in May 2020 from her Royal Highness, Queen (Oloi) Iyayota Ewuare II.
This came after he ascended the throne of his forebears as the 40th Oba of Benin.
