August 28, (THEWILL) – Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has visited residences of two former Heads of State, Generals Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar.
Obasanjo arrived Minna, the Niger State capital about midday on Sunday.
The visit that lasted less than one hour in General Abdulsalami’s house before going to the hilltop residence of General Babangida (rtd), came amid political consultations, alignment and realignment.
THEWILL reports that the former President, on Thursday, led a consultation meeting along with the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP ), Peter Obi, to London, United Kingdom (UK) to meet Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike and his allies.
Speaking with journalists at the Port Harcourt International Airport, shortly after arrival from London on Friday, Wike, who confirmed his meetings with Obasanjo and Obi, said topmost on the agenda, was how to make Nigeria better than what it is currently.
Wike, who arrived in the company of the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom and Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, said his team (including Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde) is more interested in a better Nigeria, and they are consulting widely with those who mean well for the country.
Wike noted that all is not well with Nigeria and they are seeking remedies that will restore enduring hope in Nigeria.
