SAN FRANCISCO, August 06, (THEWILL) – Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki and the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Francis Okiye, are presently at the Assembly complex with hundreds of youths who came to show solidarity, THEWILL has gathered.
THEWILL reported that security officials had stormed the complex while patrol vehicles were stationed around the area.
Sources informed our correspondent that there are plans by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take over the House, impeach the Speaker and swear in the 14 members-elect who have been on hiatus in Abuja since June 2019.
