February 26, (THEWILL) – Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has lost his polling unit to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Saturday’s presidential election.
THEWILL reports that the governor cast his vote in Oredo Ward 4, Unit 19 at Emokpae Model Primary School.
According to results of the Presidential Election in the Polling Unit, the LP polled 105 votes, PDP scored 55, while APC polled 27 votes.
Obaseki was elected Governor in 2020 under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He is one of the arrowhead of the Atiku-Okowa presidential ticket.
