BEVERLY HILLS, June 25, (THEWILL) – Governor Godwin Obaseki has won the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the September 19, 2020, governorship poll after votes were tallied at the event.
Obaseki became the sole aspirant after Ken Imasuagbon, the other only remaining aspirant announced at the primary’s Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City venue that he was dropping out of the race.
After he was officially declared winner, the governor who defected to the PDP from the All Progressives Congress, APC, a few days ago, assured party leaders and faithful that he would lead them to victory and continue the his administration’s programmes.
