CHIEF WILLIE OBIANO
SAN FRANCISCO, August 26, (THEWILL) – Chief Willie Obiano has emerged the candidate of the All Progressive Alliance (APGA) in the November 2013 governorship election in Anambra State.
Obiano who polled 817 at the primary of the party defeated his closest challenger and member of the federal house of representative, Hon. Uche Ekwenife (150 votes).
The former top executive of Fidelity Bank Plc, was a late entrant into the race. He enjoys a robust relationship with current governor Peter Obi.
He faces strong contenders in Ifeanyi Ubah (Labour Party), Senator Chris Ngige (All Progressive Congress), and either Senator Andy Uba or Chief Tony Nwoye (Peoples Democratic Party) in the November 16, 2013 governorship election.
