Ogun Govt Strengthens Education, Inducts 563 School Administrators

September 15, (THEWILL) — The Ogun State Government has inducted 247 principals and 316 vice principals into the state’s secondary school system as part of efforts to strengthen education administration.

The ceremony, held at Baptist Boys’ High School, Abeokuta, saw the new administrators take an oath of allegiance.

Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Apostle ’Biodun Sanyaolu, said Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration remains committed to quality education under its ‘ISEYA’ mantra.

He noted that effective administration and teaching delivery were central to government policy, assuring that TESCOM would continue to prioritise training, retraining, and staff welfare.

“TESCOM will consistently uphold professional ethics, equity and fairness, while rewarding outstanding performance,” he said.

He urged the new principals and vice principals to drive excellence, implement government policies fully, and foster positive learning cultures.

Goodwill messages came from the SUBEB Chairman, Evang. Olalekan Ifede; President of the All Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya; and NUT State Chairman, Mr. Noah Sewakanu, who all charged the inductees to promote teamwork and strengthen ties with parents and communities.

Responding on behalf of the new administrators, Mrs. Oluyemisi Ayinde, Mr. Inua Olagesin, Mr. Ope Sodimu and Mrs. Olaoluwa Osinuga pledged diligence and efficiency in their new roles.

Highlight of the event was the decoration of TESCOM Chairman, Apostle Sanyaolu, as an Ambassador of School Crime Prevention by the National School Crime Prevention Corps.
