SAN FRANCISCO, December 14, (THEWILL) – Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday met state governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The meeting, held behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is precedes a larger meeting of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) scheduled for the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Although the meeting’s agenda had not been made public, there are speculation that the APC governors discussed the modalities of the Paris Club refund.
It was also gathered that the Governors restated their commitment to the APC following the resignation of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and his eventual defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governors will still meet with Osinbajo on Thursday on the auspices of the National Economic Council.
