May 10, (THEWILL) – Former Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his victory at the Supreme Court.
THEWILL reports that the apex court, on Tuesday, affirmed the election of Adeleke as the Governor of Osun State.
The five-member panel of the court dismissed the appeal filed by Oyetola, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the July 16, 2022, election in Osun state.
Oyetola, while accepting the ruling of the apex court in a statement he personally signed, charged Adeleke to deliver good governance to the people of the State.
“To the Osun Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your victory at the Supreme Court.
“While I pray for your tenure to be prosperous for our people and the State, I urge you to focus on the delivery of good governance.
“Whatever personal differences we have must give way to the advancement of our great State. The security of the Osun people must be guaranteed regardless of their religious and political affiliations. I pray for peace and progress in your tenure,” he said.
Oyetola, who urged members of the APC to accept the verdict in good faith, insisted the party presented a good case before the apex Court.
