February 01, (THEWILL) – The Phase II ex-agitators of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have inaugurated newly elected executive officers to run the affairs of the group.

The election was conducted on Tuesday, at the Browelf Hotel, Garki, Abuja.

The newly elected national executive members include John Esuju, National Chairman; Julius Belemu, National Vice Chairman; Demaro Vwaghue, National Secretary; Passman Akpos, National Publicity Secretary, and Gift Agamene, National Public Relations Officer.

Speaking, John Esuku, the newly elected National Chairman, appreciated the members of the election committee, the various state chairmen and the general body of the 6166 phase II ex-agitators for finding him worthy to steer the affairs of the group.

Esuku promised to carry everybody along as the National Chairman, adding that he and his team will always work for the benefit of the group.

“I will work to make sure there is always a cordial relationship between the body and the leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. Our lost glory shall be recovered,” he said.

He used the opportunity to call on all phase II presidential amnesty leaders for a general meeting in Abuja on February 10, 2024.

“If you know that your camp slot was missed, please come with your original document which you used to drop your gun; disarmament letter. Every leader must present it on the 10th of February 2024, before the next sitting date of the House of Representatives.

“All leaders from Delta, Edo, and Bayelsa, if you know that your slot was missed, come to Abuja before the 10th of February 2024. Also, all the leaders with the BVN issues should come with it,” he added.

In a statement signed and made available to Journalist by the Bayelsa State Chairman, Paul Johnson; Delta State Chairman, Solomon Adu, and others, the group advised the general public and the office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to work with the newly elected body as the legitimate national leadership for the good of the phase II ex-agitators, warning any other illegal persons to stay clear.
