June 29, (THEWILL) — The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Acting National Chairman of PDP, Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, on Media and Communications, has resigned from his position.
Dingyadi, in a letter dated June 25, 2025, and addressed to the Acting National Chairman, Iliya Damagum, thanked the party for the opportunity to serve.
“While I appreciate the support and prayers of the PDP family during my stay in this office, I remain appreciative of all the contributions given to me to ensure the success of my assignment”, he stated.
Dingyadi did not detail the reason for his resignation.
Before his resignation, he was at the forefront of defending and explaining issues concerning the PDP crisis, promoting its political cohesion and progress.
During his tenure as spokesperson, Dingyadi appeared on the Radio, Television, and newspapers to react and discuss issues related to the party’s activities.
He was at the forefront of PDP campaigns during the Obasanjo/Atiku era, and served under the Minister of Communications, Late Arzika Tambuwal.
He was also in the media group of the Late Shehu Musa Yar’adua’s political group, PF, SDP, Attahiru Bafarawa’s political movement, DPP and Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s administration.
He was also on the presidential campaign team of Obasanjo/Atiku, Goodluck/Sambo in 1999, 2003, 2025, and Atiku/Okowa in 2023, respectively.
Dingyadi worked as a journalist at Reporter/Nasiha, the BBC Hausa and many media establishments in and out of the country for two decades.
