
October 31, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Police Council has confirmed Kayode Egbetokun, as substantive Inspector-General of Police.
Minister of police affairs, Ibrahim Geidam, announced this to State House correspondents after the Council’s meeting on Tuesday, in Abuja.
President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, June 19, appointed Kayode Egbetokun as Acting Inspector General of Police.
The new IGP replaced Usman Baba, who was appointed as the IGP by former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on April 6, 2021.
