November 12, (THEWILL) — The Presidency has announced plans to convene a high-level national engagement, titled “Dear Entrepreneurs, We See You, We Hear You”, aimed at deepening collaboration between government and Nigeria’s business community.

The dialogue, initiated under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, is expected to bring together entrepreneurs across Nigeria’s economic spectrum—from micro and small business owners to industrial and technology leaders—for a direct conversation with government.

Speaking on the forthcoming event, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development (Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy), Ms. Chalya Maryam Shagaya, described the dialogue as “a defining moment to strengthen collaboration between government and the nation’s job creators while reaffirming the administration’s commitment to building a 1 trillion dollar economy driven by innovation, enterprise and inclusive growth.”

Shagaya noted that her office has engaged extensively with entrepreneurs in sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, creative industries, fashion, renewable energy, education and edupreneurship, insuretech, fintech, oil and gas, and innovation.

These interactions, she said, highlighted both the resilience and the challenges within Nigeria’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, providing the foundation for this policy dialogue.

“This administration has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing entrepreneurship as a driver of national transformation.

“This dialogue is not just a conversation—it is a call to action to refine, realign and reinforce policies that empower Nigerians to build, innovate and create value,” she said.

Highlighting President Tinubu’s entrepreneurial background, Shagaya added, “Long before public office, His Excellency understood how innovation and enterprise fuel prosperity.

His leadership continues to inspire a new generation of business builders who believe in the promise of Nigeria.”

The event will feature interactive sessions between policymakers, investors, business leaders, and innovators, providing entrepreneurs the platform to share experiences and practical insights directly with government representatives.

Discussions will focus on improving access to finance, enhancing ease of doing business, fostering industrial growth, promoting digital innovation, and scaling creative and emerging enterprises.

The dialogue will culminate in a Presidential Address by President Tinubu, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth, enterprise development, and the goal of achieving a 1 trillion dollar economy under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Shagaya reiterated her office’s commitment to ensuring that the initiative reflects the administration’s belief in the transformative power of Nigerian entrepreneurs in driving economic growth and resilience.
