May 24, (THEWILL) – The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has debunked reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has dissolved his cabinet.
Mohammed gave the clarification while briefing State House Correspondents at the end of the valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said the clarification became necessary because of a rumour that emanated while the meeting of the Council was going on.
“Speculation about dissolution of the Federal Executive Council is not true. As a matter of fact, the President has directed us to go back to our offices and work.
“I have to clearly give this explanation because of the false story that broke while today’s meeting was going on,” he said.
