President Tinubu Has Done Well, Deserves Commendation – APC Chieftain

Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso

May 29, (THEWILL) – A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Dr Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, says President Bola Tinubu has performed very well in steering the mantle of leadership of the country in the last two years.

“He has done creditably well steering the mantle of the leadership of our great nation in so many spheres since he assumed office two years ago, and he deserves commendation from all citizens”, Kwankwaso said in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.

He cited some of the president’s achievements to include the improvement of security in the country.

“For the first time in many years, Nigerians can travel through Birnin Gwari to Kaduna even at midnight; the road to Zaria through Funtua to Gusau is now peaceful, and the Abuja-Kaduna road has been largely secured”, he added.

Kwankwaso, who is also the Executive Director of Finance of Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), also gave examples of several other projects executed by the Tinubu administration during the period.

These, he said, include the approval for the construction of the Kano northern bypass as facilitated by the member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abubakar Abba Bichi, which, according to him, would ease transportation from Kano to the northeastern part of the country.

“Similarly, the president’s efforts to complete the Kano-Kaduna-Abuja expressway as well as the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano AKK pipeline project, which is slated for completion in 2025, further attest to the fact that he means well for Kano and the North.”

The APC bigwig also commended the execution of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) project by the President, which he said had tremendously helped in easing the cost of transportation across the country.

“The establishment of the North-West Development Commission by the President, as facilitated by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, is also worthy of commendation as it will boost the socio-economic lives of the people of the region.

“The approval and subsequent signing into law of the Kabo Federal University of Science and Technology and the upgrading of the Kano Federal College of Education to the University of Education by the President shows his concern for the improvement of education in the North”, he concluded.
