June 25, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday welcomed Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“You are welcome to the progressives’ family,” the President told Senator Nwaoboshi.
Nwaoboshi represents Delta North Senatorial District, Delta State, in the National Assembly.

Garba Shehu, a Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement, said Nwaoboshi was presented to Buhari and the National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) at the State House by Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.
The Deputy Senate President said Nwaoboshi’s decision to join APC clearly shows that the effort of the CECPC was yielding fruit.
The Senator was warmly welcomed by party leaders.
