October 31, (THEWILL) –Â Â President of Joint Professional Training Support International (JPTS), Professor Christopher Imumolen has been honoured with the prestigious Nigerian Statesmanship Integrity And Productivity Award.
The special honour was bestowed on Prof Imumolen by Timeswatch News Magazine/Online, over the weekend in Lagos.
Presenting the award, editor Timeswatch Magazine, Mr Emeagi Emeka Williams said the mission of the award is to promote value, productivity and integrity towards the development of Nigeria.
Mr Emeagi said the award selection committee took diligent steps to find Prof Imumolen and a few other individuals who have become role models and shinning examples in their respective domains.
“These individuals have shown sheer patriotism, forthrightness, diligence and statesmanship, despite the myriad of socio-economic bottlenecks and negative influences in the national atmosphere”.
“So this diadem of of glory goes to a very few of you due to your spirit of industry, creativity, positive mindedness, examplary lifestyles that set trend for decency, uprightness and dedication, the reason Timeswatch and the Grandour International Communication Ventures will continue to recognise you as nation builders”, Emeagi said.
He therefore, implored the awardees to continue to trail blaze positively in your various province of professional or career calling, so as to encourage the present and future Nigerians to eschew negative lifestyles.
In his response, Prof Imumolen thanked the award organisers, noting that he sees the honour as a pat on the back.
Imumolen who is also the Vice Chancellor of Global Wealth University, Togo expressed joy that he was part of the recipients and that he made it a point of duty to honour the organisers who were all his former students.
Assuring that the recognition will spur him to do more, Prof Imumolen advised all the participants at the ceremony to start having a different mindset for Nigeria as a nation.
He said “I see this award as a pat on the back but we can always do more. The problem with Nigeria is not you and i but leadership. If you shy away from politics, criminals will lead you. The major thing we need now is mental transformation of every Nigerian. Nigerians need to be mentally stable. For us to have a good nation, all of us must be involved in the political system”.
Others who received the Timeswatch award include: President of Unilag Alumni, Lagos branch, Dr Benjamin Olowojebutu, Bishop (Dr) Priscilla Otuya and others.
In a related development, JPTS was also honoured on the 29th of October, 2021 as the Best Training Institute in Nigeria by the Nigeria Public Service Award 2021.
Speaking on the JPTS award, Imumolen said “We were in Abaji, Abuja for two programmes. The first was the award given to our organisation, JPTS as the Best Training Institute in Nigeria by the Nigeria Public Service Award 2021. We also gave awards to some of our graduates which include some senators like Dino Melaye, Managing director of NIPCO, Alhaji Aminu and others”.
“We went to Abaji to support them in terms of community development. We are working with police and appropriate authorities to assist them in security and we are also planning to set up educational institutions whereby we can offer scholarships to the indigenes”, Imumolen said.
