BEVERLY HILLS, January 31, (THEWILL) – Pop star Rihanna who caused such a frenzy following the releases of her long awaited and highly anticipated 8th studio album ‘ANTI’ hit the platinum landmark about 15 hours after the albums release.
It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The album was released on the JayZ owned Tidal streaming service and as at last count had been downloaded/bought 1.4 million times aside streaming.
However, Billboard isn’t counting the Tidal downloads for their chart.
To think she actually gave the album away for free!
