Runway Theft: FAAN Redeploys MMIA Regional Manager

July 13, (THEWILL) – The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has carried out a mild reshuffle with the redeployment of the Regional Airport Manager, South West Airports and Manager, Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Mr Felix Akinbinu, to the Airfield Services Department.

His redeployment in coming on the heels of the theft of runaway lightings at the Murtala Mohammad Airport, Lagos.

In a memo announcing the redeployment signed by the Managing Director, FAAN, Mr Kabir Mohammed, Mr Akinbinu is to hand over to Mr Sunday Ayodele, who was before now, General Manager, Airfield services, on or before July 14, 2023.

THEWILL recalls that runway lightings were carted away by thieves at the Murtala Mohammad Airport, Ikeja, leading to the suspension of some FAAN officials.
