May 23, (THEWILL) – Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has been released from police custody after meeting his bail conditions on Tuesday.
Seun was detained by the police for assaulting a police officer some days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
Kuti’s lawyers had, in a statement earlier, said that he would be released on bail as ordered by the Magistrate.
His release comes shortly after Flutist, Tee Mac Omatshola Itsueli, begged the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, to release him.
