February 22, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto State, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has promised projects worth one billion naira to the Local Government that gives APC the highest votes.

He announced this while addressing party supporters in Tambuwal Local Government Area of the State.

Aliyu added that the second and third positions will enjoy projects worth N500 million and N300 million, respectively.

The gesture, according to him, is to enable Local Governments to compete with each other in delivering votes during the election.

“Successful Local Governments Will be the ones to bring the projects they would want us to execute for them,” he added

To this end, the APC candidate charged supporters to redouble efforts in mobilising support for the party.

Aliyu also assured the people of Tambuwal Local Government of developmental projects if elected governor of the state.

Also speaking in Kebbe Local Government Area of the State, the APC candidate promised to reciprocate the gesture by the Kebbe people through the execution of people-oriented projects.

“We don’t make fake promises just to woo electorates, whatever we say is something we know we can do,” he averred.

“Kebbe Local Government is my second home because I worked here about two decades ago, so I know the problems of the area,” he said.

In his words, the Chairman, Sokoto State APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda wamakko, commended the people of the area for their turnout at the rally, assuring them APC is the solution to their problems

Speakers at the rally highlighted some of the projects executed in the area during Wamakko’s administration.

During the rally, hundreds of decampees were received into the APC as party supporters expressed confidence that the APC candidate will perform if elected governor of the state.
