December 31, (THEWILL) – The wife of Sokoto State Governor, Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, has been awarded “Outstanding Mother of the Year 2024” for her welfare programme for the vulnerable in the state.
The governor’s wife was among the eminent personalities to receive the award by Amazing Fame Concept in Collaboration with Caliphate Youth Forum.
Former House of Representatives member, Dr Balarabe Shehu Kakale, while presenting the award, congratulated the First Lady.
Kakale described the award as deserving, adding that the recipient got the award based on merit.
The governor’s wife was represented at the award ceremony by the State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad Shagari.
She thanked the organisers for the award.
“I want to say this here, this award is very special to me, and I believe with this, I will be more motivated to serve humanity better than I did in 2024.”
She further described the award as a “special one” and will serve as motivation for her to serve humanity better.
