
BEVERLY HILLS, February 20, (THEWILL) – Acting President Yemi Osinbajo cancelled his re-scheduled visit to Ondo State on Monday.
THEWILL recalls that Osinbajo was scheduled to visit Ondo State last Friday, but abandoned the visit as the presidential jet could not land at the Akure airport due to bad weather which forced the event to be rescheduled to Monday.
Osinbajo has been visiting oil producing states to preach peace and patience with the Federal government in a bid to stop valdalization of oil pipelines.
The presidential advanced team including the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Brig Gen Paul Boroh, had arrived the state on Friday.
They were directed to wait in the state till Osinbajo’s arrival on Monday.
However, the Acting President failed to show up while the weather conditions was again blamed.
According to a statement on twitter by Laolu Akande, Special Assistant on media and publicity to the Vice President, Osinabjo apologised to the people of Ondo but no date was given for the visit.
