April 30, (THEWILL) — The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has launched Rev360, a next-generation tax administration platform, marking a major step in the country’s shift toward a more modern and efficient tax system.

The rollout will be implemented in phases, beginning with medium and emerging taxpayers before expanding to larger entities and government institutions.

In a statement announcing the development, the Service described Rev360 as a transition to “Tax Administration 3.0,” moving beyond manual and partially digitized processes to a fully integrated, intelligent, and taxpayer-focused system.

The platform is designed to streamline tax compliance, improve transparency, and enhance overall efficiency in managing tax obligations.

Speaking on the initiative, NRS Executive Chairman Zacch Adedeji said Rev360 underscores the agency’s commitment to building a system that fosters trust and supports economic growth.

He noted that the platform aims to reposition tax administration as a driver of national development rather than a burden on citizens.

The Service also revealed that it conducted a nationwide readiness programme to prepare taxpayers, consultants, and other stakeholders for the transition.

This effort, it said, ensures users are equipped to navigate the new system effectively.

According to the NRS, the phased implementation will allow for a structured and seamless adoption process while minimizing disruptions.

Rev360 is expected to boost compliance, strengthen revenue collection, and improve the taxpayer experience.

The launch comes as the Service targets N40.7 trillion in revenue for 2026, a 44 percent increase from the N28.29 trillion recorded in 2025 highlighting the critical role of innovation and public cooperation in achieving Nigeria’s fiscal goals.
