November 07, (THEWILL) – Afrobeats singer, Teniola Apata, reveals that she was diagnosed with a potentially fatal throat infection in July.
While making her second album, ‘Tears Of The Sun’, Teni faced the challenge of a diagnosed virus.
Teni, after openly discussing her weight loss journey, reveals a more intricate story.
Dealing with recurring temporary voice loss, she consulted medical professionals, leading to a crucial suggestion for a significant surgical procedure.
The seriousness of this decision was driven by the potential risk of permanent damage to her vocal cords.
In September, Teni was hospitalised due to persistent fatigue.
Currently undergoing treatment without resorting to surgery, she shared a video documenting her journey.
She reassured fans about the heartfelt nature of her upcoming album, ‘Tears Of The Sun’, set to be released on the 17th of this month. She highlighted ‘Malaika’ as a song expressing her gratitude to God.
The video was captioned; “TESTIMONY TIME. WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO HEAR THIS ALBUM, I WANT YOU TO LISTEN FROM YOUR HEART, EMBRACE IT WITH YOUR SOUL AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW, I GAVE IT MY ALL, SPOKE MY TRUTH, STRAIGHT FROM MY HEART, AGAINST ALL ODDS. TEARS OF THE SUN.”
