
September 25, (THEWILL) – At least sixteen victims comprising 13 Students and three construction workers, who were abducted by bandits in Zamfara State, have regained their freedom.
THEWILL reports that the victims were kidnapped on Thursday night, by armed bandits, who invaded their residents in Sabon-Gida community in the Bungudu Local Government Area of the State.
While three of the abducted students had earlier escaped and returned to the school under military protection, Nigerian army troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, said earlier that six students were rescued on Thursday.
In a recent update, the troops said 13 students have been rescued so far.
