
June 01, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, met two top leaders of the National Assembly, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and Reps Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He also met with Tajudeen Abbas and Ben Kalu, both contenders for the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
Abbas and Kalu have received the endorsement of their party, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the positions.
Although details of the meeting are sketchy, THEWILL reports that the meeting may not be unconnected to the forthcoming inauguration of the 10th National Assembly and the eventual election of the leadership and principal officers of the federal legislature.
