June 13, (THEWILL) – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, met with representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by its President, Usman Umar Barambu
Representatives of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), the National Association of Colleges of Education Students (NACES) and the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), also attended the meeting.
THEWILL reports that President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, signed into law a bill making available to Nigerian students interest free loans to pay their tuition fees.
The students commended the President over his assent to Bill, as well as the government’s pro-active approach to the fuel subsidy issue.
On his part, President Bola Tinubu reiterated the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and social justice through meaningful inclusion in governance, affordable access to quality education, and the creation of gainful opportunities across all sectors of the economy.
