October 02, (THEWILL) – The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday, sacked Governor Abdullahi Sule and declared David Ombugadu, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the March 2023 governorship election and duly elected.
In a ruling delivered on Monday, two of the justices agreed that the election was won by the PDP, while one judge dissented.
Governor Sule, according to INEC results, polled a total of 347,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Ombugadu, who secured 283,016 votes.
