SAN FRANCISCO, December 11, (THEWILL) – Some suspected hoodlums allegedly attacked Isinigbo Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on Friday morning, destroying properties.
THEWILL gathered that the attack was not unconnected with the land dispute between the Isinigbo Community and a neighbouring Ode which had earlier been attacked.
A source said two unidentified persons were killed in the attack while many houses were burnt down, including the palace of the traditional ruler of the community.
Earlier, suspected Isinigbo youths had last week and on Tuesday, December 8, attacked the traditional ruler of Ode Community and burnt down his palace.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incidents.
