Uzodimma Sworn In For Second Term As Imo Governor

January 15, (THEWILL) – Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has taken the oath of office for a second term of four years following his victory in the November 11 gubernatorial election.

Also, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru was sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Imo State, bringing a fresh perspective to the state’s leadership.

Uzodimma was sworn in at exactly 3:24 pm at the Dan Ayiam Stadium in Owerri.

The event had in attendance President Bola Tinubu, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and other All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains.

In his inaugural speech, Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received during his first term and pledged to continue working tirelessly for the development and progress of Imo State.
