August 25, (THEWILL) –Â A three-storey building under construction, on Thursday night, collapsed in Kubwa Satellite town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
According to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the building located at Hamza Abdullahi Street, Off Gado Nasco Road, was under construction.
While some persons have been rescued with serious injuries and taken to the General Hospital, the number of casualties is yet unknown.
However, rescue operations are still ongoing by security agencies and officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to rescue workers who are feared trapped in the rubble.
