May 15, (THEWILL) – A financial solution app, Vesti, has offered Hilda Effiong Bassey, aka Hilda Baci, an all-expense paid trip to the Maldives for the summer.
Fondly called the Jollof queen, Hilda is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.
The current record holder of a cooking marathon is Indian-born chef, Lata Tondon, who became the first woman in the world to set a new Guinness World Record, cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop.

27-year-old Hilda owns ‘My Food by Hilda’, a fast food restaurant located in Lagos.
Hilda who is also an actress and a television producer has shown her culinary skills on various Television Cook shows and represented Nigeria at the Jollof Face Off Competition in 2021, emerging as the winner.
She has, so far, surpassed 80 hours of cooking.
The cooking marathon will come to an end at 4pm on Monday.
