January 31, (THEWILL) – As the Countdown to the 17th National Biennial Conference of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to be hosted by Bayelsa State gets closer, the National Delegates on a fact-finding mission has scored the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) high on its readiness to host the Pentecostal family in Yenagoa.
In furtherance to ascertain the actual preparedness of Bayelsa State to host the Spiritual fiesta for the first time, the National President, PFN, Bishop. Dr. Francis Wale Oke, had dispatched a 4 member national delegate to visit the State for an on-the-spot assessment of the preparations so far.
The team, led by the National Deputy President of PFN, Archbishop John Praise, commended the South-South National Vice President, Apostle Dr. David Zilly Aggrey, for mobilising the LOC ably led by Pst. Dr. Tam Seth Eyedoude, for making them proud so far.
Speaking on the chosen venue, the state Ecumenical Centre, Igbogene, Yenagoa, the team gave a pass mark adding that it was befitting to host such a gathering of “God’s Generals of our time, in our clime.”
He charged members to have high expectations from the Conference as in his words. “God will surely exceed our expectations to His glory, and stressed that all hands must be on deck to achieve set goal,” he states.
In his remark, Bishop Cosmos Elechukwu, National Secretary of PFN, disclosed that the Biennial conference tradition entails partnership among the National and hosting zone/state all buying into the programme, which he added, has always brought about great spiritual and physical revival to the people.
Bishop Elechukwu maintained that the Fathers of Faith in the State and zone should prevail on the State Government to be part of the program and expect innumerable spiritual dividends, that would subsequently translate to a conducive atmosphere for good governance in the zone.
Also speaking, Bishop David Bakare, the National Deputy Secretary, emphasised on “major grassroots mobilisation” of all churches in the state.
In his remarks, Apst. Dr. David Zilly Aggrey, the National Vice President, PFN (South–South) pledged to effectively galvanize the LOC and other stakeholders in order to have a glorious conference. Drawing an inference from the experiences of the translated Evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke, Apst. Aggrey charged all to give premium to the spiritual preparations where a dedicated prayer team would be interceding for the programme.
He stressed that once the spiritual territory is taken, it would reflect in the massive harvest of souls and unprecedented revival in the land as dividends from the Conference.
Also speaking Pst. Dr. Tam Seth Eyedoude, the State Chairman, PFN, assured that the LOC and other critical stakeholders would do everything within their spiritual and physical enablement to ensure the success of the conference.
The 17th National Biennial Conference of the PFN, 2023 is scheduled to hold at the Ecumenical Centre Igbogene-Yenagoa In Bayelsa State from 7th–10th February 2023, with morning sessions billed for 9.00am and evening sessions for 4.00pm from 8th through 10th respectively.
The Biennial Conference is the highest gathering of all Pentecostal believers in one place with the Fathers and Mothers of Faith all in attendance.
This year’s event is expected to birth spiritual dividends to the Christian community and the Country at large.
