April 27, (THEWILL) – A former senator representing Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, says he brings a vision of prosperity to the state.
Senator Otu disclosed this in Calabar, after paying a consultative visit to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state to formally intimate them of his intention to join the governorship race.
Senator Otu, who once headed the Senate Committee on Finance said the people of the state should expect peace, progress and prosperity.
He said he has carried out research on the state and came up with 13 thematic areas, which if addressed, takes care of every challenge the state faces today.
“Cross River people should expect peace, progress and prosperity as I bring a vision of prosperity to the state.
“They should expect a different Cross River, a brand new state, where people will be happy.
“We have 13 thematic areas which will take care of every challenge we are facing today.
“We went on a very serious and rigorous research to find dependable data that will see us through so it includes every facet of our lives”, Senator Otu said.
He also disclosed that his administration will address the needs of youths across the state through sports.
The governorship hopeful said the state under his administration will earn foreign currency through sports.
He added that he hopes to create plantations in all local government areas where women and children will be engaged.
On tourism, he stressed that the sector will also receive a major revival and expanded to include medical tourism.
