February 04, (THEWILL) – Ahead of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria, the Ebonyi state All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, yesterday expressed confidence that the incumbent Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state was going to fly the APC presidential flag and as well emerge the next president of Nigeria.
Emegha made the statement while fielding questions from journalists on arrival from the inauguration of APC states party chairmen held yesterday in Abuja.
He explained that wide reaching consultation for Governor Umahi’s presidential bid was already ongoing in Abuja. He added that Umahi would emerge the new brand president come 2023.
The chairman said he should be held responsible should the party fails in Ebonyi syate.
“Ebonyi state is not one of the state you will be doubting will win general election. Even PDP that is the opposition party will still cast vote for APC in Ebonyi state because of the achievements of the governor.
“The person that will take over will only do a maintenance culture. I want to let you know that I am back. Woe be unto me if the party is not doing very well.
“We are going to make APC of Ebonyi state to be envy of the party. People are trying to qeue behind the party because of one single man. He is an experienced party man. We will do well.
“I am very confident with what I am seeing. People are seeing me as a villa boy. I am so pampered in the villa. People are flowing around. A lot of consultation has commenced. Something great will happen. I have so much confident that he will fly the party’s flag and emerge the new brand president. We have never had any parrarel congress in Ebonyi state,” he stated.
