Musa Muhammed Adamu Fagengawo

February 22, (THEWILL) – The lawmaker from Jigawa state representing Babura/Garki federal constituency in the National Assembly, Musa Muhammed Adamu Fagengawo, has resigned his membership from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Musa announced his resignation in a letter he personally signed and sent to the APC chairman of the Kore ward in Garki local government area in the state,

“I write to notify you that I have resigned my All Progressive Congress (APC) membership on the 21st of February 2023. This is necessitated by the series of conflicts happening at all stages of the party.

“Meanwhile I thank the party for giving me the opportunity to contest on its platform”, he wrote.

He consequently announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Briefing newsmen shortly after being received by the PDP executives at the residence of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Dutse, the state capital, Musa said the decision followed a wider consultation with constituents on a plan to quit the APC.

Musa added that he joined forces with the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Mustapha Sule Lamido, to ensure the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections.

“I am here because I want to help a friend, we attended the same university, I am here to help the party win the election”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Afforestation, Bala Sule Kila, has also dumped the ruling APC for the opposition PDP.
