July 4 (THEWILL) — A Nigerian based in the United States, Dr Bolaji Odusina, has clinched the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governship ticket to contest the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.
Odusina, who decamped from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over an internal crisis, said that she joined NDC to secure the gubernatorial ticket to rescue the people from current hardships if elected in 2027.
She stated this during an engagement with the Igbo Community Group in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Friday, where she reiterated her 12-point agenda.
The agenda includes quality education, accessible healthcare, clean water, upgraded hospitals, insurance, job creation, modern infrastructure, agricultural revolution, security, and transparent governance, improved power supply and road network.
The medical practitioner said that the agenda was to ameliorate the suffering and the hardship faced by the people of the state, stressing that she would use her understanding of US governance to bring people-oriented projects to develop the state to international standards.
She said, ” I am Dr Bolaji Odusina, and I am happy to have secured the NDC ticket to contest the 2027 elections. I want to thank the leadership of the party for giving me this opportunity, and I promise not to let them and the people of Ogun State down if elected as the governor of the state
“As I have said before, I came to join the race because I can’t stand the everyday suffering of our people, especially in the area of infrastructures, and that was why I came with my 12-point agenda, which is improved power supply, quality education, job creation, and agriculture, to mention a few.
“I, therefore, urge the people of Ogun State to vote for the right party, which is NDC and vote for me as the party’s governorship candidate, as well as Peter Obi as the presidential candidate of the 2027 elections. We will not fail you, and together we will make Nigeria great again”, Odusina added.
