
April 2, (THEWILL)- At least 30 children who were kidnapped by bandits in Kasai village of Batsari Local Government area of Katsina State have regained freedom.
THEWILL earlier reported that the children were intercepted by bandits while on an errand to fetch firewood at the outskirts of the village on Monday morning.
Spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command, Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that all the victims have been rescued and reunited with their families.
“The children went to fetch fireworks when they were accosted by the bandits. But, upon hearing the information, we swung into the rescue operation, and alhamdulillah, they have been rescued and reunited with their families,” Abubakar told newsmen.
