October 03, (THEWILL) – Former Provost, Kogi State College of Education, Kabba, Julius Oshadumo, has been killed in a crossfire between kidnappers and vigilantes at Ogori-Magongo forest, in Kogi State.
Oshadumo was abducted by some armed men who attacked the Okedayo branch of ECWA church, in Kabba during a Sunday service two weeks ago.
THEWILL gathered that the vigilantes, on a rescue mission to a forest around the Ogori community in the State, engaged the kidnappers in a shootout. The provost was reportedly killed in a cross fire rescuing operation.
His body, has been deposited at the Ogori General Hospital.
The wife and other worshipers, who were also shot during attack on the church, are still recuperating in an undisclosed hospital in the State.
The Kogi State Police Command has not issued any official statement on the incident.
